We’ve all heard the saying, “Patience is a Virtue.”
Is it one of yours? It’s not one of mine. Learning to operate in patience has been a long hard haul for me to learn. I am still practicing it!
Today, in praying for my Husband, the title of the prayer is Patience. And the scripture reference is 1 Corinthians 13:4-8.
I prayed that God would fill his heart with patience and cover his mind – every single thought – with patience. I prayed self-control for him as he commuted to and from his job. I prayed that he would keep his spirit filled countenance and composure when he was met with someone who would challenge his patience. *I am certain I am that person sometimes!* I also prayed he would take note of the times he was aware he was practicing patience and he would be encouraged to be MORE patient! And, then, I asked the same of The Lord for myself!
I am so thankful God has been patient with ME.
